Mike has been the manager of CHRISTUS St. Michael Health & Fitness Center since its opening in 1993. Because he has always strived to help others live a happy and healthy life, Mike created a health and fitness environment that would help members achieve and maintain positive health, and in turn, make them happy.
Carol has been a part of the CHRISTUS St. Michael Health & Fitness Center family for nine years. "I have the privilege of getting to know our members very well, and often address them as my extended family," she said. "It is so exciting to see them accomplish goals that have been set for them, as well as goals they have set for themselves."
Members have been greeted by Linda since 2004, and as she enjoys watching members accomplish their goals, she ultimately feels that her job is special because of the family atmosphere. "When someone is hurting, we hurt with them; when they celebrate something, we help them celebrate; if someone just needs an encouraging word, we offer that."
Robert has been helping and coaching members of the St. Michael Health & Fitness Center team for over five years. When asked what makes his job special, Robert finds happiness in helping members make healthy lifestyle changes and watching fitness goals be met.
For the past 11 years, David has been guiding and assisting members in both setting and reaching personal goals. Witnessing the increase of energy and self-esteem in members is most rewarding to him as part of his position at the Health & Fitness Center. "It's very satisfying because I can see a transformation over time and know that I played a role in making a much healthier person in both body and mind."
Detra has been a part of the CHRISTUS St. Michael Health & Fitness Center family since its opening almost 20 years ago. Not only does she love the closeness between co-workers, Detra enjoys that her clients and classmates become her friends. Additionally, witnessing the great change in the health of her class is only one of several reasons why Detra loves her job!
Since 1980, Jane has been teaching exercise classes and positively influencing other's health. At CHRISTUS St. Michaels Health & Fitness Center, Jane feels that she has the opportunity to reach out to others and prayfully effect their health and well-being in both private and group settings.
Curt Braley, our Massage Therapist, is a Licensed Massage Therapist. Curt has been with the CHRISTUS ST. MICHAEL Health & Fitness Center since 2015. He has considerable experience and specialization with Reflexology, Deep Tissue, Swedish, Paraffin, Essential Oils, Pregnancy Massages. His passion for his work is to achieve the goals for relaxation, pain therapy, and stress reduction for his clients really show his deep love of this field of work.
Shary, our Group Exercise Coordinator, is an AFAA Certified Instructor with over 25 years of experience and has specialized certifications in Group Exercise, Strength Training, Spin, Aqua, Pilates, Yoga, Zumba, and Tai Chi.
Her joy for people plays a large role in the love for her job, along with the fulfillment she received in working with members to achieve any goal they have.
Vincent has been leading various group fitness classes at CHRISTUS St. Michael Health & Fitness Center for two years, and he finds the comfortable and fun atmosphere a perfect place to help members reach personal goals.
Casey has worked in the health and fitness industry for over 35 years. Casey earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Education. Along with her college degree in exercise, she is certified to teach a wide range of group exercise classes. Including, but not limited to, yoga, cardio fit and Silver Sneakers/Silver-n-Fit. Casey’s passion is helping people become stronger and more fit allowing them to move with confidence thus improving their quality of life. Casey joined the CHRISTUS St. Michael Health & Fitness Center Team in 2016.
Brandon has been a member of the CHRISTUS St. Michael Health & Fitness Center staff since 2013. He serves as the Clinical Exercise Specialist at the Health & Fitness Center. Brandon is responsible for assessing the health and fitness status of all individuals who seek to join the Fitness Center. His goal is to ensure that all Health & Fitness Center members reach their health/fitness goals safely and effectively.
Brandon’s education began with obtaining his Bachelors of Science degree from Paine University in Augusta, Georgia. Where he also played baseball. He followed that up his Bachelor’s Degree with a Master’s of Science in Exercise from the University of Louisville in Louisville Kentucky.
